As a child, meatloaf has been a favorite dish of all of us. Living back, I looked forward to having meatloaf for dinner every time my mom made it. Meatloaf was one of my favorite foods to eat, it always happens to be.
As a boy, with my meatloaf, I always liked extra ketchup. And frankly… not much has changed still today. Luckily, this keto meatloaf recipe tastes exactly like the classic meatloaf that I liked to eat.
Mashed potatoes seem to be the only thing lacking, but these days I’m fine with settling for mashed cauliflower. Breadcrumbs are usually used in daily routine meatloaf recipe as a filler.
However, if you are following the keto diet and you want low carb keto meatloaf, then you should use alternatives of breadcrumbs. Grated Parmesan Cheese, Almond flour, Golden Flash, and Coconut Flour can be used as a substituent for breadcrumbs in keto meatloaf.
You won’t even notice the flavor of the almond/coconut flour, like normal breadcrumbs. I used a slice of parmesan cheese and almond flour mixture in this recipe.

INGREDIENTS FOR KETO MEATLOAF
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 pounds ground beef
- ¾ cup almond flour (or coconut flour)
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/3 cup Sugar-free ketchup
Directions to make this low carb meatloaf recipe:
Heat the oven to 350°F.
Mix all of the ingredients, except for the ketchup, in a big bowl. To mix it, use your hands.
Transfer the mixture to the pan until it becomes blended and mold it into a loaf.
After the meatloaf has cooked for about 1 hour, we will put sauce on it. Toping for low carb meatloaf Whisk the meatloaf sauce together and spoon it over the top after the meatloaf has been baked for about 60 minutes.
Just 2 ingredients are used in the topping: sugar-free ketchup and bottled Italian salad dressing. If you’re low carb or on the keto diet, you can use primal kitchen ketchup. To this low carb meatloaf, these 2 ingredients add the perfect sweet and tangy taste.
Leave the meatloaf to cool before serving for 10 minutes.
